To try and describe how to play such an instrument in words alone would be lengthy & confusing.
The harmonica is not a piano, simply hitting a key does not mean a good/nice sound will come out of the instrument.

Hohner Kids Clearly Colorful Translucent Harmonica, Assorted Colors Review

I bought my son this harmonica at a toy store for a little more money, but it was worth every penny. He's only fourteen months but has already found his musical talent in this simple instrument. The plastic is sturdy and the sound is unmistakably Hohner. He's stepped on it, bitten it, and spit all over it and it seems to be holding up just fine (he's always supervised while playing his harmonica). I would recommend this toy, I mean, instrument to anyone who needs to buy a gift or wants to introduce their kids to music at any age. In fact, I'm buying more to give away.

I have used this book to teach harmonica for over four years.It is verysimple, inexpensive and doesn't get involved in so much nonsense, a commonflaw in beginning harmonica books. There could be far more songs--far moreextensive tips--but it is a small, easy to carry book, and decisions had tobe made about content.It does have enough tips and songs to serve thebeginner well.I've used it--and continue to use it.

Hohner 81 Pocket Pal Harmonica Review

This is probably the second harmonica I ever bought.Now I have 10+.It's really a pretty nice little harp.It's cheap enough that I can really do a number on it without worrying about breaking or gumming up a reed.Great for when I want to save some of my pricer harps.It's constructed a bit like the special twenty and sounds probably closes to that, but a little less pretty.It's been durable and enjoyable.Well worth the price.
I should also mention that it doesn't come with a plastic case like the other Hohners.

Hohner Piedmont Blues Harmonica Set Review

I picked these up today and for the price they are a steal.I have blues harps and marine bands and Oskar and I like these because they are easy to play and bend notes easily plus since they are plastic, you don't get the metallic taste in your mouth and I am sure they won't rust!I am not a professional musician, but have played harmonica for many years and find it very easy to bend the notes on these harps.

worked well for one day. now day two, the 2 draw and 10 blow reeds dont work...also not very well crafted lots of air gaps the air is escaping and not even touching reeds. although hohner is a great brand save money and buy higher line of hohner.
